Four-Point Inspection Services
A four-point inspection is typically performed for a homeowner when mandated by their insurance company to obtain a new insurance policy or to renew an existing policy.
It is designed to identify the existing condition of the systems and assess the remaining life expectancy of the materials.
Although a four-point inspection is usually required for a home 25 years old and older, some underwriters can ask for this inspection even if the home was more recently built.
This type of inspection is much lesser in scope than a standard home inspection.
A four-point inspection covers:
Roof
HVAC system (heating, ventilation, air conditioning)
Electrical system
Plumbing system
